KASU HOSTS THREE-DAY TRAINING FOR LABORATORY STAFF

The Directorate of Laboratory Management and Maintenance (DLMM) at Kaduna State University recently concluded a groundbreaking three-day training program. The initiative aimed to familiarise staff with the operation of advanced equipment acquired through a TETFUND intervention. Conducted by Rear Breeds Global Services Ltd, the training marked a significant milestone as the first of its kind within the University.

This is in adherence to the University’s Equipment Procurement Contract Agreement, which encompasses installation, test-running, and personnel training. This signifies a new approach by the University, ensuring comprehensive training accompanies all future procurement agreements.

Held at the University Central Laboratory from 21st to 28th March 2024, the training witnessed the participation of thirteen laboratory staff members. Prof Timothy Bulus, the Director of Laboratory Management and Maintenance, expressed his commitment to cascading the knowledge gained to additional technologists within the University.

Arc Idris Abdullahi Gambo, the Director of Physical Planning, also graced one of the training sessions, highlighting the institutional importance attached to the program. With this initiative, the University propels itself towards enhanced operational efficiency and technical proficiency in its laboratory endeavours.
